The government of Bangladesh has launched a web browser called 'Tarjani' which will help people to use the internet in the Bengali language. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the browser at the BCC Auditorium in Agargaon on Tuesday this week. Basically, this new browser has been launched to commemorate the historic March 7.
Palak said, "On March 7, Bangabandhu gave a signal to 75 million people of the country by showing his index finger." In addition, the country's banks, insurance, offices, courts, everything runs with the force of the index finger. Palak said that the name of this browser has been given as index finger considering all these issues.
Palak also said, "We are entering Smart Bangladesh from Digital Bangladesh. So there is no need to rely on foreign services to enjoy the maximum benefits of Smart Bangladesh. We have to be self-reliant. We want to create a 'Smart Bangladesh' ecosystem that will be self-reliant. It is for this reason that the 'Tarjani' browser has been introduced for a self-reliant Smart Bangladesh."
The app is published by Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). The browser is available in Bengali as well as in English. The app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. That is, Android and iOS users can use the app.
