Fever is measured by placing a thermometer on the face, armpit, and anus. In humans, fever is measured by placing a thermometer in the mouth and armpit. And in the case of other animals, fever is measured by placing a thermometer in the anus.

Fever Temperature:

·      99.5 degrees F in the mouth. (37.5 degrees C.)

Correct rules for using a thermometer:

Clinical thermometer:

1. First wash the thermometer with alcohol or soapy water and wipe it with a dry clean cloth.

2. The position of mercury should be seen. Before measuring the temperature, the end of the thermometer should be shaken vigorously to bring down the mercury.

3. Take the temperature under the tongue or under the armpit for a minute.

Digital Thermometer:

1. Before measuring the temperature, the switch should be turned on.

2. If you make a sound, you should understand that the temperature measurement is over.

Infrared Thermometer:

1. It usually indicates the temperature when held in front of the forehead.

Precautions for use of thermometer:

The temperature in the face and armpit can vary depending on the environment. Take care of that. For example, eating something cold or hot can cause a difference in the temperature of the mouth.
